According to the public relations department of the Asian Zurkhaneh Sports Confederation (AZSC), Amir Reza Airom, a board member and the development director of the Asian Confederation of Zurkhaneh Sports and Pahlevani Wrestling, attended the 46th anniversary celebration of the victory of the Islamic Revolution at the Consulate General of Iran in Istanbul.

During the event, he met with the esteemed Consul General of Iran in Istanbul and emphasized the role, significance, and value of the ancient and authentic sport of Zurkhaneh. He highlighted the potential of sports diplomacy rooted in Iranian chivalric culture, civilization, and traditions as an essential means for strengthening international relations. Additionally, he acknowledged the important role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially consuls and ambassadors, in advancing this cause.

Furthermore, a Zurkhaneh performance team, representing the confederation, showcased the grandeur and magnificence of this ancient sport through an artistic display. Their performance was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the distinguished guests and officials present at the ceremony.
