Planning for the Advancement and Development of Zurkhaneh Sports and Pahlevani Wrestling Worldwide, Especially in Asia

Dr. Mehralizadeh and Ayrom Discussed the Advancement and Development of Zurkhaneh Sports in Asia: Consultation Between the Asian Confederation and the World Federation

 

According to the Public Relations Office of the Asian Confederation of Zurkhaneh Sports and Pahlevani Wrestling, Amirreza Ayrom, a member of the Executive Board and the Development Director of the Confederation, met with Dr. Mehralizadeh, President of the World Federation of Zurkhaneh Sports and Pahlevani Wrestling. The meeting aimed to review necessary collaborations for planning, excellence, and the development of Zurkhaneh sports across Asia.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Amirreza Ayrom, Senior Advisor to the President of the International Zurkhaneh Sports Federation (IZSF), emphasized the evolution of the confederation’s structure as the core pillars of the World Federation, in accordance with the IZSF charter and global standards.

 

He described the implementation of these actions as essential and well-founded and highlighted the planning process and measures taken in Asian countries.

 

As a member of the Executive Board and Development Director, Ayrom then presented a comprehensive report on the planning process and actions taken concerning the structure and development of the sport in Asian nations.

 

He designated 2025 as the year of fundamental education and sustainable development, stressing the importance of technical committees collaborating to formulate technical regulations.

 

Additionally, Ayrom expressed gratitude for the initiative, wisdom, sincere support, and fatherly guidance of the esteemed President of the World Federation in developing this sport at the global level.

 

In response, Dr. Mehralizadeh expressed satisfaction with the efficiency, precision, and program-oriented approach of the ongoing cooperation, emphasizing the necessity of continuous engagement with both the World Federation and national federations.

 

He underlined the importance of establishing a coordinated system to achieve development and excellence objectives, appreciating the efforts made so far.

 

Furthermore, Mehralizadeh stressed the globalization of indigenous and ancient sports culture, emphasizing the determination of the Zurkhaneh sports community, artists, and media professionals in this endeavor.

 

The cordial meeting, which lasted three hours, reaffirmed the commitment to bilateral meetings and collaborations under the supervision and strategic policies of the World Federation. It also recognized and praised the activities undertaken by the Asian Confederation.
