The Asian Confederation of Zurkhaneh Sports and Pahlavani Wrestling held a meeting in Tehran.

According to the Public Relations Office of the International Zurkhaneh Sports and Pahlavani Wrestling Federation (AZSC), a meeting of the Asian Confederation of Zurkhaneh Sports and Pahlavani Wrestling was held today at the AZSC headquarters, with the presence of Hong San Pyo, Secretary General; Amir Reza Airom, Treasurer and Member of the Executive Board; and executive officials of the World Federation, with the aim of organizing and setting the confederation’s programs.

At the beginning of the meeting, Hong San Pyo presented a report on the activities of the Asian Confederation. These activities included the development of Zurkhaneh sports in schools across Korea, the provision of traditional sports equipment to athletes, and the dispatch of coaches and morsheds to train and strengthen national teams.

Subsequently, Amir Reza Airom, a member of the Executive Board of the Asian Confederation, emphasized the necessity of admitting new members in Asia and stated: “One of the most important upcoming programs of the confederation is the development of this sport. This objective will be achieved through the reform and completion of the Asian Confederation’s structure, which will soon begin a new path.”

Expressing his satisfaction with the election of the new President of the Asian Confederation, he added: “Fortunately, Dr. Kim is a highly capable individual. In the short period since his election as President of the Confederation, he has been able to establish effective communication with member countries. Without a doubt, in the future, Zurkhaneh sports—given their potential and the efforts of officials and executive staff across Asia—will achieve remarkable success.”
